Created for ‘You’ve Got Mail!’, Melbourne Design Week 2026

Drawing on the suburban letterbox as a marker of arrival, this cabinet highlights its role as a post-war symbol of ownership and permanence. Five cast aluminium flaps recall familiar, durable details, while its cladding draws on the aspirational interiors of these homes. Slightly excessive, resolutely ordinary, part furniture, part infrastructure, the work celebrates the letterbox as a small architecture of pride, memory, and presence.
